LOA3Yes, this is a part three… I don’t think we have ever worked on a part three of a topic- so I hope you like it and I am not just stuck rambling on. If I am, please let me know in the comments! 🙂

In case you need a refresher on what we’ve been talking about, go check out the full post. But let me quickly bring you back to how we ended last week…

“Now, this was far from even a crash course in the LAW OF ATTRACTION, because there is truly lots and lots and lots and lots of better places to learn about it, and from people that understand and can explain it better than I can… “

BUT that doesn’t mean that I didn’t try. And it shouldn’t stop you either! 🙂 I can probably think of three people that could talk about the law of attraction so much better than I can, and if I do a quick google search I am sure I can find 90 sites that will explain it better as well. But just because I am not the leading expert in the field, doesn’t mean we can’t chat about it here! Did I sign up on TED.com to talk about it – NO! Did I contact a publisher to write a book about it – not yet, but maybe someday! 🙂 Do you know how many of us would not be allowed to speak just because we weren’t a recognized expert in what we were talking about….?! UGH I am so glad that is not the case… could you imagine the many many many people in history that would not have been allowed to work on the things that changed the world as we know it. Wow! What a terrible thought; sorry I digress a little 🙂

So what is something that other people have done before you, that you would like to do?

Maybe it is write a book, travel the world or even make a specific recipe for dinner.

Just because someone else has been successful at what you would like to do – doesn’t mean that you can’t do it also. And it doesn’t mean that you can’t do it in your own way and still make it a success. This idea that because they have done it already, so well or recently – fall into the pit fall of COMPARISONS. And in order to be a successful anything, wife, husband, friend, pet mommy, writer, business owner, artist, lover…. you just can not get stuck in the pit of comparing yourself to the success or products of others.

Do you know why?

Simply put… because you aren’t them. They aren’t you. And your experiences in life have not been the same. Even down to the DNA of one of your cells compared to one of theirs – THEY ARE DIFFERENT.

And the other oh-so-common mistake that happens with comparisons is that we like to compare their peaks to our lows…. their perfect accomplishments to our failures…. never looking at the whole picture that they had a journey of their own to live through to get where they are today. And sometimes that journey will show itself and you will see it was actually harder than where you are today – often you will never know the details, and that’s OK – because maybe it will help you to knock off the comparing! 🙂

Yes, you can get advice and guidance from those who are where you want to be, and who are going where you are going. That’s often what makes our day, is when you reach out and ask for help, for more info or for more mentoring. So ask often, ask a lot! But make sure to stop yourself if you begin to compare….. Because the law of attraction can’t make you into someone else, but it can help make you into a better YOU. And that’s really what we are wanting to attract, our better selves.

Now go take a step toward what it was you answered earlier – begin to attract your own greatness!

Have an outstanding day!!! Attracting what you want.

Much success,

Sara
