When you look back on your history of success, a pivotal moment, can you tell where it started?
Yes, I can as-well. I had an Accountability Partner, Bill Baker, who was working to build his Network Marketing Business too. What I discovered working with him was Jim Rohn. Jim Rohn taught him that if you keep track of your statistics, looked at the results, you could then know what your plan would need to be to reach your goals. Jim Rohn says, conceptually, that when you know your tracking numbers and the results they produce then you know what you have to do to achieve the results that will get you to your goals.
For instance, working with a new distributor, we first identify, what I call, the Success Formula. It is the 5 actions that you must do every day consistently to achieve the success you want in your Network Marketing / MLM or home based business. This is absolutely necessary.
The next step, to execute Jim Rohn’s mentoring , is to track each one of these actions.
Your success formula may be similar to the one I follow:
1. Add someone new to my prospect contact management file.
2. Send at least one follow up card a day.
3. Make at least one follow up phone call a day.
4. Do at least one business presentation a day.
5. Train someone in your organization a day.
When you know your success formula then you can take action and keep track of the actions.
I suggest making a Microsoft Excel Chart that lists the actions down the left side column and the Days of the month across the tops of the columns. Then record all your activity, every day.
After one month you will see exactly how much action you have taken. You will know the results of your actions. This is a very powerful, yet very simple exercise and method to follow.
If the results you achieved are what you want, then CELEBRATE!!!
If the results you achieved are not, review the tracking of activity and decide how you will increase your efforts to get different results. And, CELEBRATE!!! Always CELEBRATE the success and/ or the learning.
The 6th step to my Success Formula is:
6. Sign up a new Distributor / Business builder a day.
That is a tall order but it is a powerful goal that will certainly bring you much success and set you as a Role Model, Mentor or Expert in your Network Marketing Business.
Live by what Jim Rohn says, “Check Your Results Often. We cannot afford to wait ten years to see if our philosophy, our attitude or our efforts needed achieved our goals.”
